I started doing "data work" before I knew it had a name - building Excel models for my family's business in India when I was 16, watching numbers turn into decisions in real time.
Six years later, I just graduated from UIC (Magna Cum Laude, IDS + Finance), and the through line is still the same: turn messy business data into decisions people can act on. The tools just keep getting better. These days I build dashboards, forecasting models, A/B testing frameworks, and AI agents.
